INVESTMENT MANAGER
UNIPETROL, a.s. is a subsidiary of PKN ORLEN – one of Central Europe’s largest refiners of crude oil, and petrochemical producers with annual revenues about EUR 15 bn for entire PKN ORLEN holding and about EUR 4 bn for UNIPETROL. The holding specializes in processing crude oil into world-class unleaded petrol, diesel, aviation fuel, heating oil as well as plastics and other petroleum related products.
In order to further improve profitability and synergies from its assets and businesses the company focus is in three main segments: refining, petrochemicals and retail. The primary role of the Capital Investment Department is to increase Group value via fulfillment of the strategy in the main segments, i.e. in the way of investment/divestment projects conduct.
The objective of the Capital Investment Department is three-fold:
- it coordinates the activities regarding determination of investment/divestment strategy for UNIPETROL Group and secures its alignment with the overall UNIPETROL’s strategy,
- it is focused on strategic goals fulfillment via coordination of activities starting from recognition, through full-fledged analyses till implementation of investment/ divestment project on the UNIPETROL entire Group level,
- it monitors the post-closing effects of investment/divestment projects.

Key responsibilities:
- Your main responsibility will be in the area of coordination of all the activities regarding recognition, analyses and implementation of capital investment/divestment projects.
- You will be in charge to coordinate the valuation assignments, cooperation with various business and functional teams within UNIPETROL and coordination of work of internal teams and external advisors within investment/divestment projects.
- You will conduct/support the negotiations of the terms of investment/divestment projects.
- You will be fully responsible for preparation of project documentation and recommendations for statutory bodies of UNIPETROL in relation to investment/divestment projects.
- You will coordinate preparation of transactional documentation related to investment/divestment projects.
- In the very first months you will likely need to very quickly catch up with the knowledge of the industry, company, its business and its strategy
- Job location is Prague. Traveling to other UNIPETROL locations (Litvinov, Kralupy, Pardubice) and PKN ORLEN locations (Plock, Warsaw) will be occasionally required.

Background:
- At least 4 years of professional experience in the financial advisory/corporate finance departments of a investment bank/ reliable consulting company/private equity
- Preferred education: University degree in finance or economy
- Experience in M&A transactions, valuations and good knowledge in financial modeling
- Very good knowledge of MS Office
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Proven extremely strong analytical skills
- Ability towards strategic and synthetic assessments
- Very good negotiating and organizational skills
- High professional standards
- Good time management/planning ability
- Ability and interest to continuously learn
- Very strong ability to work in a team
- Optimism and positive attitude
- Driving license - B
