​Within the framework of the internal project entitled “Donate fuel for life”, more than 100 employees of the Unipetrol Group voluntarily donated blood. A total of 42 litres of blood were collected through donations in Prague, Litvínov, Pardubice and Kralupy nad Vltavou. This blood could be used to save as many as 350 human lives. 
 
“Blood is the most precious thing a person can donate, so I would like to say a big thank you to our employees for their willingness to help. More than half of the blood donors were so-called first time donors who had no experience with blood donation before getting involved in the “Donate fuel for life project”,” says Michał Chmiel, HR Director at Unipetrol.

Blood donations took place directly in the administrative areas of individual companies in the Unipetrol Group at predetermined times. “The project is inline with our basic Unipetrol values as responsibility and volunteering. Due to the great amount of interest on the part of the employees and their willingness to help, we will be repeating the “Donate fuel for life” project in the autumn,” says Agnieszka Bobrukiewicz, Head of Marketing of Benzina, responsible for the realisation of the Donate fuel for life project.
