​Unipetrol RPA has signed contract with PKN ORLEN for the supply of crude oil to its refinery in Litvinov, Czech Republic. The agreement secures delivery of 2.9 million tons to 5 million tons of Russian Export Blend crude oil (REBCO) per year.

„The long-term contract guarantees stability of deliveries that is important to us, and enables their flexibility depending on the economy of contracted supplies in relation to oil market conditions at given time,” said Marek Świtajewski, Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Unipetrol. „On top of that, from the financial perspective, we benefit from the joint purchase of crude oil within ORLEN Group PKN ORLEN purchases ca 30 million tons of crude oil per year; this represents quite considerable purchasing power. Unipetrol alone would not be able to obtain such favorable conditions,” added Marek Świtajewski.

The contract will be effective from July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2019. Contracted volumes will cover 65 % out of 100 % of the total demand of Unipetrol for (REBCO). The arranged volumes will be delivered to the Czech Republic via oil company Rosneft through the Druzhba pipeline.

Beyond that, Unipetrol RPA secured oil crude deliveries through a second contract signed with PKN ORLEN for the supply of REBCO oil from Tatneft Company in the amount of 600,000 tons. The contract is valid from July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017.
