General Characteristics
Liquid ammonia is liquified gaseous ammonia manufactured from synthesis of hydrogen and nitrogen. It is a transparent colourless liquid of penetrating unbreathable odour. Ammonia is classified accoding to EC Directives as a hazardous substance.
CAS: 7664-41-7
Liquid ammonia is used for manufacture of nitric acid, fertilizers, for cooling machines and other industrial purposes. In agriculture it is used for direct fertilizing.
