Urea

General Characteristics

Urea (or carbamide) is formed by white to slightly yellowish pellets, easily soluble in water. It is manufactured by ammonia and carbon dioxide synthesis. Urea is surface treated by anticaking agent.

The product is surface-treated by anticaking agent URESOFT-150. Average agent content is 0.04% wt.
The product is listed in Annex I to Regulation of the European Parliament and Council No 2003/2003 as EC-fertilizer (type number A.1.9).

It is produced in two grades in the specification according to internal standard PND 33-340:

Urea to fertilization – used as a nitrogenous fertilizer
Technical urea – used in chemical, textile and pharmaceutical industry

Technical urea is used for the manufacture of plastics, adhesives, textile industry and other purposes.

The product is not classified as hazardous pursuant to Act No. 350/20011 Coll. and corresponding EU legal regulations (Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 CLP, Directive No 67/548/EHS or Directive No 1999/45/EC.

Packaging, Storage, Transportation
Urea is delivered in polyethylene bags (50 kg - 1,200kg/palette a 25 kg - 1,375 kg/palette), in bulk in covered rail wagons or in customer´s means of transport.
