Prior her arrival to Unipetrol, she worked as a press liaison officer for the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports. In 2002 she worked as a reporter in Instinkt (weekly). In 1998 – 2001 she worked for the Czech television at the Current Affairs Department - mainly as a co-ordinator and researcher. She also helped to create new talk show formats.

Michaela Lagronova graduated from the Faculty of Social Sciences (Charles University), majoring in area studies. She got her master degree in Marketing and communication from the Faculty of Multimedia Communications (Tomas Bata University in Zlin).

Her hobbies are travelling, movies and skiing.
