“Fulfilled Wishes” initiative raised almost CZK 600,000 for seven organisations across the country

25-03-2021

Care-home clients will get a portable lifting device; the disabled will receive rehabilitation aids, and children from the children’s home will enjoy a recreational stay. Employees of the refining and petrochemical group, ORLEN Unipetrol, have fulfilled the wishes of clients served by seven non-profit organisations. In the tenth annual “Fulfilled Wishes” charity project, they had raised CZK 587,518 together with the company. Every year, ORLEN Unipetrol matches the sum collected, which then goes to specific purposes in selected organisations. The donation proceeds have totalled more than CZK 3 million over the initiative’s entire existence.

For the tenth year, ORLEN employees helped fulfil the wishes of people from non-profit organisations and donated a record-high of CZK 293,759. Like in the previous years, ORLEN Unipetrol matched the amount to the total of CZK 587,518. “I want to thank all our employees who joined the collection in these challenging times. Together, we will donate by almost CZK 80,000 more than last year, which is a fantastic achievement,” says Katarzyna Woś, Vice-Chair of the ORLEN Unipetrol Group’s Board of Directors and Chair of the ORLEN Unipetrol Foundation Board. She adds: “Our fundraising project, ‘Fulfilled Wishes’, has a long tradition. We held its tenth anniversary last year. Each year, we donate money to selected non-profit organisations in the locations where our Group is active. The raised funds help abandoned, disabled, or ill children and adults.”

The money raised will be distributed among seven non-profit organisations in six locations.
