This year, the mayors and vice mayors of the cities of Litvínov, Meziboří and Lom, six communities and community associations in the Ore Mountains region participated in the first of four planned events. The management of Unipetrol a Unipetrol PA this time was represented by the director of communication, Martin Pavlíček and Vladimír Zemánek, director of the chemical production unit. Representing the safety section were HSE&Q director Pavel Sláma and Jaroslav Porteš, head of the risk management division. In the introduction, Martin Pavlíček emphasized that Unipetrol is doing everything to be a market leader and good employer, which for the surrounding region and its inhabitants is important. At the same time, Unipetrol is also trying to place emphasis on the support of innovation and education and, thanks to the forthcoming UNIcre program, the company will be a draw to the region for young, educated people. Jaroslav Porteš demonstrated, among other things, the method of handling extraordinary events in the chemical facility and the ongoing improvement in the methods of communicating this type of information to the mayors of partner cities. Martin Klika, director of the Litvinov city police was in agreement. The vice mayor of Litvínov, Erika Sedláčková, thanked the company for its current contact with the city, as well as for the forthcoming meetings. Jan Bejček, mayor of Nova Ves v Horach, was interested in whether or not he could count on the financial support of Unipetrol RPA in a similar amount as in the previous years. He and his colleagues needed to know this in order to be able to plan events in the cities and communities with the support of the chemical company. The second meeting should take place within two months, for which Unipetrol RPA promised to prepare further presentations on the company.
