Unipetrol’s partial oxidation unit (POX) resumed its full
operation. Unipetrol also increased the operation of both its refineries as
well as the whole petrochemical segment to their standard level of performance.
„We put the first part of POX unit back into operation at the end of last
year. We have now successfully resumed full operation of the other parts as
well. Both refineries in Litvínov and Kralupy and all petrochemical units are now running
at full capacity. I am glad that both, the repair and the restart, went off
really well just as scheduled at the beginning of the whole restoration process,“
Krzysztof Zdziarski, Vice-Chairman of Unipetrol’s Board of Directors
responsible for operations, said, adding: „We apologize once again to all residents of the surrounding towns and
villages for any inconvenience“.
