The winners received their awards during the ceremony for the Ústí and Liberec Region at the Univer-sity of Jan Evangelista Purkyně in Ústí nad Labem on Tuesday, May 22, 2018. The Sodexo Employer of the Year 2018 Award was announced by Employers’ Club,  a charitable  company operating under the auspices of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.. The event’s professional guarantor is Price-waterhouseCoopers Česká republika s.r.o., which prepares documents for the evaluation of registered companies.

Unipetrol employs more than 4,600 people, with a large number of them being in the Ústí Region, where it is among the most important employers. Together with its employees, the company is actively involved in caring for the surrounding region. Every year, it organizes an employee collection called Fulfilled Wishes, whose proceeds support non-profit organizations in the Ústí, Central Bohemian, Pardubice, and Brno Regions.  Employees also help in these non-profit organizations in the course of regularly recurring volunteer days. Furthermore, Unipetrol provides financial support to the neighboring municipalities and towns and also financesthe regular fish planting into the Bílina and Elbe Rivers.
