EFECTA fuels at every Benzina filling station
Since early March, Benzina has started offering a new fuel type EFECTA to
its customers at selected filling stations. The new fuels will be available at
all stations by the end of April. „With
the new fuel, our customers are getting a modern, high efficient fuel which on
top of that takes care of engines and fuel systems in their cars. The new,
concise and internationally understood name EFECTA, reflects all the best
qualities of our new product, which was developed according to the best available
technology,“ said Marek Zouvala, Head
of Benzina registered branch.
High cleaning effect proven by strictest tests
Additives in the EFECTA fuels contain also detergents which prevent the
formation and deposition of carbons. These are products of incomplete
combustion and create solid or semisolid deposits in injectors and valves.
Modern engines are sensitive to such deposits, and if the impurities build up
they can disrupt the optimum fuel flow and thus slow engine power, increase
fuel consumption and jeopardize operation of the entire engine. This can be
prevented however, by adding efficient additives with cleaning effects to the
fuel. The cleaning effect of the new fuels EFECTA have been proved by demanding
tests Dirty-up & Clean-up and Keep Clean conducted by the Czech branch of
Swiss certified laboratory SGS which is a world leader and innovator in terms
of inspection, verification, testing and certification. Individual test phases
last sixty hours and simulate alternating urban and motorway traffic in
laboratory conditions.
The fuel EFECTA 95 can reduce engine soiling by 99
%
In the first test, using traditional gasoline, 205 mg deposits emerged
after sixty hours of operation. Over the next sixty hours of using EFECTA 95,
the amount of deposits decreased to 87 mg. EFECTA 95 therefore removed 58 % of
impurities while also preventing the creation of new deposits. Another test
which was performed using the EFECTA 95 gasoline was the „Keep Clean“ test. The
essence of this test is operation with additive fuel and new valves. The
results exceeded expectations. „In the
initial test when using conventional fuel, a total of 205 mg sediments were
created whereas with the new valves and EFECTA 95 fuel it was only 3 mg deposits.
Thus, there were 99 % less sediments occurring,“ Ladislav Fuka from SGS Czech Republic, s.r.o commented the results of
each test.
Return to 100% performance after only sixteen
hours of operation with EFECTA Diesel
The fuel EFECTA Diesel was subjected to similar tests. During the second
cleaning phase it turned out that EFECTA Diesel can clean the injectors after
only sixteen hours of operation and engine is therefore capable of 100% performance.
Another positive aspect of the new diesel fuel is its reduced foaming. Drivers
can appreciate it, for example while refueling. „Benzina is the only filling station network in the Czech Republic that
has quality certification of diesel fuel from the reputable company SGS. We
believe that drivers will fully appreciate this innovation in the form of
EFECTA Diesel during their travels,“ concluded Marek Zouvala.

its market share to 17.6 % with its 363 filling stations. During January and
February this year, Benzina increased the number of its stations to 375 by
taking over another twelve. The rest shall be taken by the end of 2017.
