Most and Litvínov inhabitants can submit improvement suggestions until end-August

20-08-2019

Litvínov, August 20, 2019 – Inhabitants of the Most area still have two weeks to submit their ideas regarding community projects which will be included in subsequent voting for the projects to be implemented by the towns of Most and Litvínov together with Unipetrol next year. The campaign has been held in Most and Litvínov since mid-July, and the locals can submit their ideas by sending text messages, online or throwing them in special collection boxes placed in public locations or a special tramway.

Unipetrol’s campaign can be seen on many public premises and also in a special tramway where the locals can submit their ideas, as well. “We are pleased that our campaign has drawn attraction of the locals. We have received 150 proposals through text messages so far. We will know the final number of proposals only following the collection of all boxes after August 31,” said Jakub Kosmowski, Marketing Director of the Unipetrol Group.

“We are glad that Unipetrol is active and makes efforts to be engaged in the development of our region. We can see that people like the campaign and I am looking forward to the projects which we will implement together next year,” said Litvínov Mayor Kamila Bláhová, and her Most counterpart, Mayor Jan Paparega, agrees: “Unipetrol has come up with an interesting idea. I am pleased that our inhabitants are not indifferent to their surroundings and that they joined the campaign. I am curious about the ideas that are yet to come.”

The ideas may be submitted until August 31 through text messages sent to 736 304 031 and through the collection boxes placed in a special tramway, in public locations, in publicly accessible institutions or at the reception of the Záluží chemical site where more than 6,000 people come to work every day. It is also possible to send proposals online at www.unipetrollidem.cz. After the closing date, a jury comprising the representatives of both towns and Unipetrol will select the best ideas from which the inhabitants will subsequently choose the ones to be implemented next year.

Unipetrol has long been providing active support of many projects. It supports not only local municipalities, but also non-profit organisations, schools and various social, cultural and sports events. “We are the largest employer in the Most area; and it is crucial for us to be a valid member of the local community. That is why we support various projects every year. This time, we decided to involve the locals, because they know best what their towns really need,” Jakub Kosmowski concluded.
