We have been helping together at ORLEN Unipetrol for 15 years: employees once again supported a charity project

10-03-2026

Employees of the ORLEN Unipetrol Group have once again taken part in a charity collection called Fulfilled Wishes. This year, the 15th edition of the collection raised CZK 463,918. In keeping with tradition, the ORLEN Unipetrol Foundation will double the amount and distribute the total donation of CZK 927,836 among seven non-profit organisations in the Czech Republic. These organisations are dedicated to helping children, families in difficult life situations, seniors, people with disabilities and animals. Every year, employees show great interest in the Fulfilled Wishes charity collection. This year, more than 380 employees contributed.

The ORLEN Unipetrol Foundation sees employee participation in the collection as a strong expression of a long-term corporate culture based on mutual assistance and responsibility. "This year, we have once again confirmed that we care about the fate of others and that helping others has a firm place within our group. We are very pleased that the number of donors is growing every year. This year, more than 380 employees contributed," says Zbigniew Pawłucki, Chairman of the Board of the ORLEN Unipetrol Foundation, adding: "We managed to raise CZK 463,918, which is the highest amount in the history of the entire project. We would like to thank all employees who contributed to supporting non-profit organisations, and we look forward to further charity projects that await us this year."

The funds will be distributed among seven non-profit organisations operating in the Czech Republic. These entities are selected by the ORLEN Unipetrol Foundation in cooperation with the group's employees, who submit their proposals for projects and initiatives requiring support throughout the year. The Foundation has long focused primarily on smaller non-profit organisations that do not have a broad base of supporters but perform commendable and necessary work. This year, employees and the Foundation selected organisations dedicated to helping animals, disabled children, and supporting home palliative care, for example:

  • Hospice Most – cares for terminally ill clients, providing pain relief, dignity and the opportunity to be with their families; the donation will support home palliative care
  • Hiporehabilitace Jupiterprovides animal-assisted therapy and hippotherapy to children, adolescents and adults with mental, health or social disadvantages; the donation will be used for children's therapy with horses, which is not covered by insurance companies
  • Handicap Zlín – has been supporting independent living for people with disabilities and seniors for more than 30 years, and also provides transport for immobile clients; the donation will support the Children and Youth Club, which organises leisure activities for children with disabilities
  • Bady – provides shelter and rescue services for animals in need throughout the Czech Republic, uses modern technology and thermal imaging drones, and is dedicated to educating the public about the wild; the donation will be used to purchase a vehicle for animal rescue
  • Šance onkoláčkům Foundation – helps children with congenital defects, serious illnesses and children undergoing cancer treatment, paying for aids, rehabilitation and medicines; the donation will cover the children's needs during and after treatment.
  • The Chance Project – the first programme for "street children", victims of abuse and human trafficking, teaching them self-sufficiency and developing work habits in a therapeutic workshop; the donation will support the operation of this workshop
  • In the Rose Garden – a social therapy workshop for people with mental disabilities and autism, which has been creating sheltered jobs and original handicrafts for 21 years; the donation will help cover the workshop's operating costs.

The Fulfilled Wishes employee charity collection has been held annually since 2011. This year, CZK 463,918 was raised, compared to CZK 436,968 last year. Over the past fifteen years, employees and the ORLEN Unipetrol Foundation have contributed a total of CZK 6,739,646 to this collection.

ORLEN Unipetrol Foundation
The ORLEN Unipetrol Foundation launched its activities in 2017. Its primary mission is to support education and popularise science, primarily natural sciences and technical disciplines, as well as corporate social responsibility, emphasising local communities and the environment. The Foundation has long been engaged in supporting schools, teachers, and students with grant programmes. The educational project, ‚Plastík a jeho kouzelný kufřík‘, provides schoolchildren from the first to the fifth grade with an excursion into the world of chemistry through entertaining experiments. Educational support and the associated Foundation’s activities gave rise to many educational materials and outputs in the form of tutorials available at www.nouonline.cz. Beginning in 2024, the Foundation is also committed to corporate social responsibility related to the environment, support of local communities, and volunteering. Such activities include championing volunteer and community projects, fundraising, fish releases into rivers, nesting of endangered peregrine falcons, and beekeeping. The Foundation cooperates with many non-profit organisations on a long-term basis but also reacts to current events in society and emergencies.
