“After the challenging 2020, we have managed to get back to our long-term plan in the last year and even reported record-high revenue. We have invested over 40 billion crowns in the last five years and we can reap the harvest now. We have also optimized and streamlined our internal processes and implemented a number of synergy effects within the entire ORLEN Group. In the retail segment, we continued our preparations for electromobility. We are a leader in the fuel market but have also become a leader in the number of electric chargers at our fuel filling sites.”

In the retail segment, the ORLEN Unipetrol Group continued investing in modernising and developing the Benzina ORLEN network of filling stations in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The Group runs 424 sites in the Czech Republic. The Stop Cafe concept is available at 327 outlets. With a 25 percent share in the fuel sales market (as of 31 October 2021), Benzina ORLEN is the largest chain in the Czech Republic. The Group also works to expand the electromobility infrastructure. At the end of 2021, it operated electric chargers at 41 filling stations, making it a top provider among the chains active in the Czech market. In Slovakia, the ORLEN Unipetrol Group is one of the fastest-growing chains. It had 22 stations in its network at the end of 2021.​
