As the largest petrochemical company in Czech Republic ​we continue to progressively meet our commitment to become emissions neutral by 2050 at the latest. ​At ORLEN Unipetrol, we perceive advantages of plastic such as its versatility, lightweight and safety. However tradional linear model of - take, - make, - use, - dispose has led to challenges with plastic waste as environmental burden.​ That is why in our business, we are developing the principles of the circular economy, in which we want gradually replace fossil raw materials with waste material. We take responsibility for our own products from inception to final disposal that we will be able to reduce waste, conserve natural resources and minimize the environmental impact and all while fostering economic growth and creating new oppurtunities in the industry.

Following our strategic goals to enhance plastics in terms of circularity and sustainability we want to develope three main sustainable activities: mechanical recycling, advanced recycling (pyrolysis) and production from biogennic-based feedstocks. These three direction are complementary together and represents different approach of our customers. At ORLEN Unipetrol, these different pathways are represented by ENVITEN^®​ and ENVILOOP^® brand.
