ORLEN Unipetrol received the highest number of votes from secondary school and university students joining the evaluation of companies in the Ústí Region as part of the Most Sought-after Employer among Students in 2022 poll organised by the Employers’ Club. More than 4,000 students participated in the voting. In the survey, they used the online chatbots, Brandon and Brenda, to share their ideas about starting their career. For instance, the students could provide their opinions regarding the conditions for choosing an employer, initial wage and its expected development, or how long they thought they would remain with the first employer. In this way, employers got valuable feedback from students about their awareness and perception of the respective brands.

The Most Sought-after Employer among Students survey is a successful project through which the Employers’ Club seeks to connect employers, schools, students, and graduates since 2011. Besides the renowned Employer of the Year award under the international PwC Saratoga methodology, the “SCHOOL RECOMMENDED BY EMPLOYERS” has also established itself in recent years. In this survey, corporate representatives assess secondary schools in the regions and university faculties at the national level. During eight years of school evaluations, the number of employers joining this project has increased to more than 700. ORLEN Unipetrol has, in recent years, consistently ranked among the best-rated employers in the prestigious Employer of the Year poll and may now also boast the title of the Most Sought-after Employer among Students in 2022 in the Ústí Region.

ORLEN Unipetrol has long supported education in the Czech Republic. Among other things, it collaborates closely with many secondary schools in the regions. Furthermore, it enables the implementation of study programmes at the University Centre of the University of Chemistry and Technology located directly in its production site in Litvínov. In addition, the ORLEN Unipetrol Foundation provides financial support to successful secondary school and university students and teachers, implements teaching projects for primary schools and provides funding for purchases of the necessary equipment.
