The refining and petrochemical group ORLEN Unipetrol has received the Most Desired Employer of the Year 2023 title among students in the Ústí Region. It has received this award for the third consecutive time. The Group has thus obtained another acknowledgement for its work in human resources this year after winning the Best Employer in the Czech Republic and Best Employer in the Ústí Region awards and being included among the Best Employers in Europe for 2023. In similar rankings and competitions evaluating employee care and corporate human resources, ORLEN Unipetrol has been successful over the long term.

We have been striving to constantly increase the level of satisfaction of our current and newly hired employees. These awards give us excellent feedback that our efforts have been successful. Using a modern online questionnaire, the ORLEN Unipetrol Group received the most votes among more than 5,000 secondary school and university students participating in evaluating firms in the Ústí Region. The questions for students focused mainly on their ideas about the beginnings of their careers and starting wages, their expected career development, and how long they would stay at their first job. For employers, the students’ answers represent important feedback about the incoming generation’s career ideas and how the young view their brand.
The Most Desired Employer student survey is among the successful projects through which the Employers Club has been trying to connect employers, schools and their students and graduates since 2011. Apart from the reputable Employer of the Year ranking based on PwC’s international Saratoga standards, the School Recommended by Employers competition has recently been established in which company representatives evaluate secondary schools in the regions and university departments at the national level. During the eight years of this school evaluation, the number of employers involved in their ranking has increased to more than 700. ORLEN Unipetrol, which has been among the best-evaluated employers in the Ústí Region and nationwide every year in recent years, has repeatedly received the Most Desired Employer title from students in the Ústí Region.
As the best employer in the Czech Republic in its category, ORLEN Unipetrol also intensively focuses on long-term support of education and training of managers among its employees. Moreover, the Group has a close, long-term collaboration with many secondary schools in the region and with universities whose students can attend practical training at the University Centre located directly at the Litvínov Refinery. In addition, the ORLEN Unipetrol Foundation has been financially supporting successful secondary school and university students and their teachers and schools.
