Prague, May 21, 2018 – Unipetrol Group, the leading Czech refinery and petrochemical group, has introduced a new online platform called Fuelling Innovations, which presents current trends and innovations in chemistry and petrochemistry in a modern and attractive way.
"Our products form the basis of plastic products used in the construction, automotive, clothing, packaging, cosmetics, and other industries. We thus stand at the beginning of the story of most plastic products. We tell such gripping stories through our newly launched platform," explained Aleksandra Skalska, Marketing Director of the Unipetrol Group. "Moreover, we show the work of our two research centres in Litvínov and Brno. We also promote the beauties of chemistry – a highly innovative and attractive field".
Tomáš Herink, Member of Unipetrol's Board of Directors responsible for research and development said about the launch of the Fuelling Innovations platform: "New technologies and petrochemical products play a key role in shaping the future. As the leader of the Czech petrochemical industry, we are proud to be part of this process. At our research centres, we are working on projects that constantly improve our products and expand our offer. In our petrochemical segment, we will soon be putting the most up-to-date polyethylene unit into operation. Its production will be based, among others, on our current development projects. We support Czech education at all levels. We look for further ways to encourage wider discussion and interest in our field and to show its beauty and importance. We are now completing our efforts with a new popularising and inspirational platform."
On
Fuelling innovations.com you can find articles on innovation and products in chemistry and related fields, as well as blogs, videos and expert interviews. The concept fits into Unipetrol’s broader strategy to enhance public awareness of the attractiveness and innovativeness of the chemical industry and its importance in everyday life. As part of this initiative, Unipetrol has recently announced its partnership with scientist and chemistry populariser Michael Londesborough, who has become Unipetrol’s Ambassador and Honorary Innovation Advisor. The company’s strategy is also focused on Unipetrol’s presence at major innovation events in the Czech Republic and on the organisation of the REACTIONS conference. This will take place on 11 October in Prague and will be open to both the professional and non-professional public. The first edition of the conference last year attracted experts from all around the world and won the first place in the B2B Event category at the Czech Event Association’s yearly award ceremony.
