Prague, July 22, 2019 – The fleet of ORLEN Group’s rail tankers which is used to transport refinery and petrochemical products will again be expanded and modernised this year. The aim of the current tender procedure is to ensure the existing and future logistics operations within the entire group.
The tender procedure includes a lease of rail tankers for the needs of PKN ORLEN and other Group companies: ANWIL, ORLEN KolTrans and UNIPETROL GROUP.
“We have chosen this procedure in reaction to the dynamic growth of sales volumes on the market. A central approach to the lease of rail tankers will unify our standards of cooperation with the external market within the entire ORLEN Group, thus increasing the supplier base and optimising costs. This will make our supplier chain even more competitive,” said Agnieszka Trębicka, Direct Materials Procurement Director at PKN ORLEN.
The inquiry covers various rail tanker types for the transportation of refinery and petrochemical products such as light, medium and heavy oil fractions, aviation fuel etc. There will be different lease terms spanning from one year to seven years, depending on the transportation plan horizon and proposed business terms.
Registrations for the tender procedure are possible through the CONNECT platform.
