Milan Kuncíř will be the new CEO of Paramo, starting from mid-April. He will replace in this position Ivan Ottis who, as a member of the Board of Directors of Unipetrol, a.s., is going to devote himself entirely to the refinery segment and the production part of Unipetrol RPA.
Prague, 2 April 2009 – Due to the necessity to strengthen the management of the Unipetrol Group in the crisis times, the company’s Board of Directors decided that Mr. Ivan Ottis as a BoD Member of Unipetrol, a.s. will devote himself entirely to the refinery segment of the Group and the production part of Unipetrol RPA. Therefore Mr. Ivan Ottis will be replaced on the post of the CEO of Paramo by Mr. Milan Kuncíř, nowadays Vice-chairman of the Board of Paramo, starting on 16.4.2009.
"I realise that the situation of Unipetrol is serious and I am trying to optimise the human potential. Therefore I decided to free Ivan Ottis from the executive position in Paramo, so that we can use the expertise of this great Czech specialist and manager for strategic management of production in Unipetrol RPA and the refinery segment," said Kryzstof Urbanowicz, the CEO of Unipetrol,a.s.
Ivan Ottis was the first CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Česká rafinérská and managed this newly-created company from 1995 until 2003.
Milan Kuncíř has been a member of the Board of Directors of Paramo for the last three years, since March 2007 he is the second Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors. He has been active in the refineries of the Unipetrol Group since 1996. He worked in different jobs in the strategy and development departments; between 2003 and 2005 was the technical director of Unipetrol Rafinérie. Since 2005 he worked in Poland as the CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Polish company Orlen Oil.
