Shareholders of Česká Rafinérská decided on changes in the BoD of the company

Kralupy nad Vltavou, 27 April 2011– The General Shareholders’ Meeting of ČESKÁ RAFINÉRSKÁ, a.s., which took place today in Kralupy nad Vltavou: 

  • elected Marek Świtajewski as member of the Board of Directors of Česká Rafinérská,

  • elected Miika Daniel Eerola to the company’s BoD,

  • elected Łukasz Piotrowski to the BoD, replacing Roman Novotný and

  • re-elected Jacek Smyczyński to the BoD.

 

Miroslav Kornalík and Ivan Souček will leave the company. 

Mr Świtajewski has almost 20 years of experience in sales, project management and top-management positions. He has been holding the office of a Unipetrol RPA Executive since September 2010. Before coming to Unipetrol he held, among others, various management positions in TP Emitel, Nortel Networks and Lucent Technologies. 

Miika Daniel Eerola has a 20 years’ experience in refinery and chemical industry. His previous positions included that of the Plant Engineer for a petrochemical company Borealis and a Technical Manager as well as Plant Manager for Messer Suomi Oy. He held the posts of Vice President responsible for oil refining in the Naantali refinery of Neste Oil Oyj and Vice President responsible for production and logistics in Porvoo refinery of Neste Oil Oyj. 

Łukasz Piotrowski has a 7 years’ experience in industrial production. He held management positions in Axtone, a manufacturer of railway components, and in Decora, a manufacturer of products for interiors. 

Mr Souček acted as Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Česká Rafinérská since 2003.  

Personal changes in the BoD and management of Česká Rafinérská will not affect the realisation of current tasks in the company and are in accordance with the long-term strategy for consolidating the business activities in Unipetrol Group.
