Litvínov, 29 July 2011 - Today after 11:00 am the production of steam cracker was decreased due to technical problems on cooling compressors. For this reason it was necessary to start with subsequent production burning on the steam cracker flare. Burning should gradually decrease in intensity and finish in evening hours. No chemicals leaked to the outside environment. At present, steps are being taken to renew the standard level of production. The company would like to apologise to the citizens in neighbouring areas for accompanying sound and smoke effects.
