Litvínov, 9. May 2012 – UNIPETROL RPA and ČESKÁ RAFINÉRSKÁ will hold an Open Day in Chempark Záluží on Thursday, June 7th. The goal of the event is to present both companies to the public as interesting employers and to present the Litvínov - Záluží site as a modern industrial complex with high safety standards and a responsible approach to the environment. Visitors will have a unique opportunity of participating in sightseeing bus tours of the plant.

„The aim of the event is also to show the younger generation that chemistry can be fun and interesting subject. This is why we have prepared a wide range of attractions including entertaining chemical experiments hosted by the popular scientist Michael Londesborough, Molecular Mixology and other competitions with valuable prizes,”  stated Mikuláš Duda, manager of the Unipetrol press department.

Visitors can expect interesting program prepared with range of partners, such as the HC VERVA hockey team, Air Products company, Ecocenter Most, VŠCHT Prague or the Unipetrol fire brigade. Refreshments and some light food will be provided on site. Also, two buses will be provided for the sightseeing trips, together with technical commentary.

Due to the limited capacity on the buses, interested persons must register in advance by visiting Open Day section on www.unipetrol.cz. The web page includes a registration form for groups and individuals and other important information.

The last Open Day in Chempark Záluží took place in 2010.
