Personal changes in the statutory bodies of Unipetrol

At its meeting yesterday, Unipetrol’s Supervisory Board elected Arkadiusz Kotlicki, till now a member of the Supervisory Board who has resigned on this position yesterday, as a new member of the Board of Directors. He will also hold the position of the Chief Merger Officer. At the same time the Supervisory Board of Unipetrol discussed Pawel Szymanski’s resignation on his position of a member of Unipetrol’s Supervisory Board, providing that his office of a member of Unipetrol’s Supervisory Board terminated yesterday.The Supervisory Board appointed Robert Bednarski as a substitute member of Unipetrol’s Supervisory Board until Unipetrol’s next General Meeting.

Prague, 31st of August 2007 - Arkadiusz Kotlicki (41) graduated from the Technical University of Łódź, Faculty of Electronics. Before joining PKN ORLEN, where he holds a position of the director of Unipetrol integration dpt., used to work in consulting industry for over 12 years for several well known consulting companies (Accenture, ATKearney, Deloitte). At that time he participated in many local and international projects for over 20 different companies focused on system and business integration, improvements in business performance and introduction of supply chain.

“I am very pleased to head the project for the Group´s transformation, because I have an extensive experience in restructuring of companies and that is at the moment one of the most important tasks Unipetrol group needs to manage in order to be efficient.”

He attended many international trainings related to implementation of information technology, strategy formulation, change management, business process reengineering, strategic sourcing, ABC costing and software oriented training.

Robert Bednarski (34) graduated from the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) with a doctorate. He started his professional career in 1996 at the Ministry of Finance, where he worked as a desk officer for external trade. Between 1997 and 2002 he headed the financial management section at Petrochemia Płock. He has been with PKN ORLEN since 2002, initially in the position of head of the financial control department (2002-2005); since 2005 he served as the CFO of Basell Orlen Polyolefins. From 1998 to 2005 he served on the supervisory boards of the PKN ORLEN Group’s companies, and has been on the Board of Directors since 2005. In August 2007 he was appointed to the position of organisation and integration director.
