Czesław A. Bugaj and Rafał Kapler were elected as new members of Unipetrol’s Supervisory Board.

Czesław Adam Bugaj has worked at PKN Orlen since 1970. He started by gaining experience with the butadiene department, which he headed from 1984 onwards. He was a petrochemical production director between 1990 and 1993. Between 1993 and 2002, by which time he was already a member of the Board of Directors, he worked first as the development director and then production director. Afterwards, he oversaw production and technologies for 3 years. Mr Bugaj has been the deputy director to CEO of the PKN Orlen group since 2005. He held the position of Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Paramo between 2005 and 2006 and has been vice-chairman of the Supervisory Board at Chemopetrol since 2005.

Rafał Kapler was educated at the Warsaw School of Economics (1994 – 1998) and started his career as a unit manager at Leroy Merlin Polska. He afterwards worked at Polska Telefonia Cyfrowa for 6 years as the procurement unit manager. He joined the PKN Orlen group as the chief purchasing officer (oil and energy industry) in 2005. He later became the executive director for cost control and procurement and has held this position ever since. Mr Kapler received an MBA degree from the University of Minnesota in June 2003.
