Litvínov, 31 May 2011 – Unipetrol RPA has concluded the Agreement of Mutual Cooperation with the Usti Region on the basis of which it will provide a donation of CZK 2 million to the Usti Region for the year 2011. The aim of this cooperation is to promote region sustainable development and improve quality of its inhabitants´ life. The region will use the funds in particular for activities in areas of environmental protection, employment, medical care, social sphere and education.

“We want to be a stable and reliable partner for the Usti Region. We are aware that being one of the major regional employers we share a responsibility for its sustainable development,” said Mr Artur Paździor, Chief Executive of Unipetrol RPA.

“Unipetrol is for the Usti Region an important partner both in terms of employment and environment protection. I am glad that Unipetrol joined other companies, which have signed agreements of mutual cooperation with the region, thereby confirming that its management is facing the responsibility for the quality of Usti Region citizens’ life,” said Ms Jana Vaňhová, Governor of the Usti Region.

In addition to this donation to the Usti Region, Unipetrol Group sponsors directly also many other socially beneficial projects and institutions in the North Bohemian territory as, for example, EDUCHEM Secondary School or training programs of the Environmental Centre Most.
