Prague, 24th of May 2007 - Unipetrol remains and will remain the majority shareholder of Ceska rafinerska with its 51 % stake. We appreciate that ENI has a confidence in this company by increasing its stake and we are prepared for the cooperation with

ENI to continue developing Ceska rafinerska.

Unipetrol confirms its interest to grow organically if any possibility arises as well as through other potential acquisitions in all the three core segments.

Unipetrol´s offer  in relation to this project was to assure the expected return for all its shareholders.
