As in the previous years, Unipetrol continues in its regional support activities and will divide a total of more than 1 milion Czech crowns between local cities and towns.
Litvínov, 6 September 2012 – As in the previous years, Unipetrol continues in its regional support activities and will divide a total of more than 1 milion Czech crowns between local cities and towns. The gifts will be used to finance social, education, sports or cultural projects. Over the last three years, Unipetrol has gifted over 5.5 million Czech crowns for developing projects in the region.
"Each year we try to select the most suitable projects that aims in social, educational, sport and cultural development of chosen region. This year we support dozens of activities, that were pointed out as necessary investments by representatives of each individual town or city - said Piotr Chełmiński, chairman of the board and CEO of Unipetrol. " The largest project we decided to support this year is financing of equipment of kindergarten Bezručova after reconstruction,” added Piotr Chełmiński.
The financial resources provided by Unipetrol will thus be used to purchase additional equipment for the Bezručova kindergarten in Litvínov, repairs of a traffic playground in Louka u Litvínova, restoration of a church in Brandov, purchase of children's crawl tunnels in Český Jiřetín, support for the Free time center in Most or restoration of the Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk memorial.
