​Unipetrol has decided to support the VIZE 97 Foundation and is donating fuel worth CZK 200,000. The chairperson of the VIZE 97 foundation Dagmar Havlová accepted a symbolic cheque from the company CEO Marek Świtajewski.

“We already started cooperation with the VIZE 97 Foundation on a lesser scale last year. We greatly appreciate the work of Mrs Dagmar Havlová and all of her team,” said Marek Świtajewski, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Unipetrol.

“I would like to say a big thank you to Unipetrol which donated fuel to the VIZE 97 Foundation which we will be using for business trips on charity missions. An old proverb says that he gives twice who gives quickly. Unipetrol reacted to our request really quickly, without any unnecessary delay and very generously. I really do appreciate this accommodating approach.” said Mrs Dagmar Havlová after accepting the cheque from the CEO Marek Świtajewski.

The Unipetrol Group is thus expanding its activities in the field of corporate social responsibility. It has in particular provided long-term support for projects in the regions where it is active via its companies. Unipetrol cooperates with municipalities, cities and regions and supports several projects and institutions in the field of the environment, the social sphere and education. The employees of the Unipetrol Group also contribute towards activities in the field of corporate social responsibility with financial donations and voluntary work.

The Dagmar and Václav Havel VIZE 97 Foundation devotes its efforts to many activities, in particular being active in social, healthcare, educational and cultural fields and also reacting to the current requirements of society. It also cares for the legacy of the former president Václav Havel and supports projects relating to human rights in his name. The foundation is this year celebrating 18 years of existence.
