​On Friday, June 20, 2014, the companies Unipetrol RPA and Česká rafinérská will hold an Open Door Day at the Chempark Záluží facility. Visitors can look forward to an interesting program that will include bus tours of the chemical facility, meeting with the HC VERVA hockey players, fire-fighting equipment and the Unipetrol RPA fire brigade, chemistry experiments, beat box school, oxygen bar and contests for prizes.

“The event is subtitled “Making a World Out of Oil” and points out the irreplaceable importance of this raw material for the everyday life of man. For students, therefore, there will also be special educational presentations, A Minute of Modern Chemistry and Journey to Find the Secret of Oil,” states Mikuláš Duda, manager of the Unipetrol press office.

The main program of the Open Door Day will take place in front of the Unipetrol RPA administration building. A big attraction for visitors will be the bus tours around the chemical facility, where the public is otherwise not permitted access. Due to the limited capacity of the buses, people interested in taking the tours must register ahead of time by using the form located in the Open Door Day section on the website (www.unipetrol.cz). At the Unipetrol site, you will find a group registration form as well as forms for individual visitors, along with other important information.
