First of all, we would like to thank the members of the investigation team for reliable and efficient conducting the investigation searching the cause of the emergency situation, which occurred on 13 August 2015 in belonging to Unipetrol, Litvinov production plant.
The safety of people has always been, is and will be a priority for the Unipetrol Group, which is why we have been providing the external experts with all the support and cooperation they need to objectively clarify the matter.
Please be assured that the investigative findings will be taken into account in the company’s internal analysis, which aim to thoroughly investigate the possibility of ensuring even greater safety in manufacturing plants throughout the Unipetrol Group and developing a system and technological solutions that will eliminate such incidents in the future.
Our specialists gather technical data necessary to start renovations as soon as possible. After the analysis of the technical condition a schedule for repair work will be created and decision will be taken on the use of appropriate technologies and the selection of the contractor for renovation works.
We believe that the return to full capacity may be a matter of months, not weeks, although some production processes is gradually resumed. Estimates of financial losses will be available during the following weeks.
