“Despite the unfavourable macroeconomic situation caused by the coronavirus pandemic and the restricted availability of production capacities due to the planned maintenance of production technologies, we posted satisfactory results. We continue with investments that will have a positive effect in the near future,” said Tomasz Wiatrak, general director of the Unipetrol Group, who added: “Within the framework of the turnaround at the Litvínov plant, we succeeded in preparing our production technologies for a new four-year cycle. I am pleased that during the turnaround work, there was no spread of the coronavirus inside or outside the plant, mainly as a result of the successful preparation and realisation of a whole range of unprecedented measures unparalleled in the history of the Czech chemical industry. Even during the state of emergency, we continued to supply vehicle fuels for the Czech market and maintained the same level of investments and the same number of employees.”
