Tomáš Herink left his position as a member of the Board of Directors effective from 30 September. He continues his work at the Group in the position of the director of the Research and Development.

We are implementing a significant transformation process in production, where the petrochemical segment will become an essential part of our activities, and our company will approach its goal of becoming carbon neutral. I am delighted that we have acquired an experienced manager to help us achieve these goals. Milan Brejchal is returning to the company where he has spent almost his entire professional life and knows it perfectly. I am equally pleased that another manager with many years of expertise, Tomáš Herink, remains at our company and will fully devote his efforts to research and development, which is fundamental for our subsequent development. I wish Milan and Tomáš every success in their new roles,” said Mariusz Wnuk, Chairman of the Board of Directors, ORLEN Unipetrol Group.

Milan Brejchal has many years of experience as a manager in the production sector. He served as Managing Director of the Sokolov-based chemical plant Synthomer for the past six years. He is a graduate of the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague and holds an MBA degree.

“After six years, I am returning to my parent company, where I kickstarted my professional career in 1991. Now, in my new role and with new experience, I want to move the company more energetically forward towards its strategic goals and improve its operational stability, effectiveness, and competitiveness in the European market. I will also emphasise employee development and reinforce the company’s position as an attractive employer in the labour market. I look forward to these challenges,” said Milan Brejchal, a member of the Board of Directors, ORLEN Unipetrol Group.

Tomáš Herink has been working in various production, development, and managerial positions at the ORLEN Unipetrol Group since 1999.
