ORLEN, the largest network of filling stations in the Czech Republic and a member of the ORLEN Unipetrol Group, has announced the launch of new products within the convenience sales segment for the upcoming summer season. Before the start of the holiday season, it will launch sales of iced coffee, juices and lemonades at its filling stations. Orlen will begin to sell up to eight new types of drinks in Czechia, Germany, Austria, Poland, Hungary, Lithuania, and Slovakia. Based on ORLEN’s new international strategy, new convenience products and food will be introduced in all seven countries where it is active. The Czech Republic has become the competence centre in developing and implementing this strategy.
The summer offering at ORLEN filling stations will be fresh with up to eight new iced drinks. Customers can look forward to delicious Frappé Salty Caramel, refreshing Espresso Tonic with hibiscus or passion fruit, and two juice variants – Green Energy, combining orange, spinach and pineapple, and Mango Boost with orange and mango. Lemonade lovers can choose from the lemon, mango or hibiscus alternatives.
"We have seen rapid growth in the convenience sales segment in recent years. Our goal is to increase its share in the total sales volume within the ORLEN network to 40% by 2035. We have aligned the management of activities in this segment within a single competence centre to fully leverage this growth potential. Stronger synergies will also increase our competitiveness in all markets. I am delighted that Prague has become a competence centre for all seven countries within the international ORLEN chain. It is an acknowledgement of the top-quality work and know-how of our employees. I am thrilled to be taking on the leadership role at this group centre and am eager to maximise the potential opportunities it presents." says Agnieszka Bobrukiewicz, a member of the Board of Directors of the ORLEN Unipetrol Group in charge of retail in Czechia, Hungary, and Slovakia and for developing the retail convenience services in the ORLEN Group.
The Stop Cafe concept of snacks and beverages is a key pillar of the ORLEN brand’s convenience sales segment. It is available at 357 out of 439 ORLEN filling stations in Czechia (80% of all retail sites). In the international network of more than 3,500 fuel stations, the Stop Cafe concept is available at nearly 2,500 outlets. Besides the proven bestsellers like hotdogs and coffee, the offering includes a variety of more than 1,000 products, including packaged products and ready-to-serve meals in traditional, vegetarian and vegan variants. The Prague competence centre will introduce other new products focused on modern lifestyle and healthy eating in the coming months, including new breakfast and pastry categories, ready-to-eat options, and a new strategy for private label products. These offerings will cater to emerging trends and customer needs, providing not only healthy options but also a diverse range of choices.
