Following our notice dated March 26, 2026, by which we informed you of the occurrence of a Force Majeure event due to the escalation of the international geopolitical situation and disruptions in the supply of raw materials, we hereby provide you with an update on the factual situation and a notice of further restriction of production capacities.

We regret to inform you that the aforementioned external obstacle has been compounded by another extraordinary, unforeseeable, and insurmountable event of a technical nature, which has resulted in a critical restriction of our company's production unit operations.

Following technical instabilities at the refinery in Litvínov, a detailed technical inspection of the BA901 preheating furnace was conducted in recent days. This inspection confirmed severe structural damage (a leak in the tube bundle) which directly jeopardizes the process safety and integrity of the entire downstream production chain.

Given the extent of the damage and the necessity of performing complex technological repairs requiring specific spare parts and demanding engineering works, the affected technological unit will remain shut down for an estimated period of 8 to 12 weeks from the date of this notice. This fact, combined with the ongoing restrictions in raw material supplies, leads to a significant reduction or complete cessation of production for selected product groups.

This accumulation of events – the persisting geopolitical restrictions in conjunction with this serious technical breakdown – constitutes, both collectively and individually, a Force Majeure obstacle within the meaning of Section 2913 (2) of Act No. 89/2012 Coll., the Civil Code, and the relevant provisions of concluded agreements. These are obstacles that occurred independently of the will of ORLEN Unipetrol RPA s.r.o., are objectively insurmountable, and prevent the due performance of our contractual obligations.

For the duration of these obstacles, ORLEN Unipetrol RPA s.r.o. is released from its obligation to perform and from liability for damages or other harm arising in direct connection with these events, including the obligation to pay contractual penalties or other sanctions. The respective business segment managers will keep you continuously informed regarding further

developments and the specific impacts on your orders and agreements.
