Prague, 23 July 2008 – Unipetrol’s shareholders approved the payment of the dividend at the ordinary general meeting on 26 June 2008. They reserved a total of CZK 3,200,558,584.60 (more than CZK 3.2 billion) for dividing between the shareholders. The payment of dividends concerns the shares of Unipetrol a.s. with the ISIN ID number: CZ0009091500.
Detailed information on the manner of payment of Unipetrol’s dividend was published in the “Dividend Payment Notice” in Hospodářské noviny today. The Notice was also published in Obchodní věstník and has been posted as of today at Unipetrol’s website (www.unipetrol.cz). Komerční banka will distribute the letter announcing the commencement of the dividend disbursal including the instructions on what to do by post.
The shareholders who owned Unipetrol shares on the day of the General Meeting, i.e. 26 June 2008, are entitled to the dividend. They may collect the dividend or apply for it at any time during the four years following the commencement of the disbursal. The entitlement to the dividend expires after the expiry of this period.
According to the current listing, 90 141 shareholders – natural persons permanently residing in the Czech Republic are entitled to the dividend. These small shareholders – natural persons – may receive the divided directly at the bank counter upon production of a valid identity document or have it sent to their account. More than one hundred of such shareholders with their permanent residence in Slovakia may collect the dividend personally via Poštová banka. The shareholders – legal entities – will receive the dividend solely by a wire transfer to the bank account.
The Dividend Payment Notice also details how a foreign national residing in the Czech Republic and Slovak Republic should proceed and what types of documents institutional investors are required to produce.
